I came across these two sites on delicious.
This site is really interesting. It made me think about the things I have but don’t appreciate. It’s fascinating how much you can say online when, maybe before, no one listened. And also how sites intended for one purpose can easily be used for another. Craigslist isn’t a blog, but this is very much a blog post. Myspace wasn’t originally intended to promote artists and bands. So even though we may not have complete control over these companies, users really do get a say in how a site is used. It’s also interesting to think about the fact that if someone’s been cut off from the world for just a decade, they’ve missed a ton in terms of development and prevalence of the web.
This is just amusing and, occasionally, disturbing.
