Wallaceisms

A term adopted by this class to describe the writing style that is so unique to David Foster Wallace. These include, but are not limited to:

• Footnotes, occasionally footnotes within footnotes within a parenthetical and so on
• Abbreviations and acronyms
• The use of a personal story that is only loosely related to the subject at hand.

These writing tools are what makes each DFW piece so clearly his own.
