A term adopted by this class to describe the writing style that is so unique to David Foster Wallace. These include, but are not limited to:
- Footnotes, occasionally footnotes within footnotes within a parenthetical and so on
- Abbreviations and acronyms
- The use of a personal story that is only loosely related to the subject at hand.
These writing tools are what makes each DFW piece so clearly his own.
